Does anyone familar with Roy Moody know if he still has any vintage 1/12 scale ABS bodies left? I'm from Rochester, NY. I used to race at Tom Gebhardt's Mod Stock Raceway years ago. I'm looking for Ford Pinto or a supermodified. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Pat, Roy never stocks anything that isn't currently raced or sold, but he has all of his original bucks/molds back to day 1. I'm sure he'd pull a few for you out of ABS or Lexan. Just give him a call (info in the Links section of this site), I'd bet he'll make you whatever you want.

Also, the old Bolink asphalt modifieds are being made again in 1/12th and 1/10th, and sold by Murdock as Wind Tunnel Bodies (http://members.fbx.com/%7Ermurdock/windtunnel/Bodies). A little pricey, but they are all of the original molds. I need to get one of the 10th and 12th modifieds...

Doug...I had a chance to talk with Roy when he was in Canandaigua, NY a few years ago. The last time I spoke with him was in 1982 when I met him at Mod Stock Raceway in Rochester. I never thought about calling him direct; duh!!!!

Not a problem. Roy still owns and operates Monee R/C Raceway in Monee, Illinois. Everything that was run back then is probably still in the basement (museum).

Pat give me a call I may have what you want in stock. I do carry some of the moody bodies in stock I think I even have a Vega Body 1/12 in stock. What happen to you Dirt Boy? we have not heard from you in some time. E- mail me modstockraceway@aol.com.

Hi Tom...great hearing from you. I haven't been doing much with the R/C stuff. Been really enjoying the street rod scene lately. I stopped by to give you a ride in my Model A a few times but you weren't home. I missed a chance to take it to Lancaster for the Nostalgia Drags. Maybe you can join me next year. My car is pretty fast.
