I don't know who it is who is selling, but there are a couple of the late Vern Henderson's dirt oval bodies on eBay (http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZ84tdQQhtZ-1) right now. It was weird to see those old watermelon-color #88 bodies again. It felt kinda weird to see them for sale like that.
I figured the many friends of Vern's may be interested in hanging on to a piece of his old race cars.

It seems like yesterday that the 88 was going around Roys.

Seems like yesterday, the magenta #88 cars were circling tracks like Remotely Daytona, Four Seasons and other Chicago circle tracks long forgotten.
I feel really old right now. Time moves too fast.
I miss those old days. :(

I remember those tracks very well, back when the blackfoot was competitive in the truck class. Ahhh my tamiya fox days and I cant forget my dual stick controller. I cant remember which one was where though, Was it four seasons on 115th and remotely by Hoovers or was it the other way around?

Remotely was in Alsip and 4 Seasons was in Bridgeview by Hoover's.
Man, I'm having flashbacks now...

Wow, I didn't think anyone else remembered 4 seasons..

Rob, I only remember really unimportant things.
I forget everything else. :o
I spent (wasted) far too many hours of my teens standing around Hoover's allowing my clothes to take on the scent of a finely ripened ash tray. Also, my Aunt was a part owner of Four Seasons for a little while there, too.

I got my first ever win in a rc car there.
You can still see that car running as a coupe at Monee on Friday night with Tom or Mike behind the wheel. We onced laughed that to buy that car from us it would be well in the thousands for all of the piddley stuff that is on that car!
Thanks Lou Doubis for the motor!:D

The smell of burning cigarettes and dirt still makes me think of dirt oval and offroad. Fun times...
