How well will a rg10ds work for a late model? What body would work the best?

I had a RC10DS that I converted to a latemodel, here were the problems I had...
1) If you run foam tires, those can still be found, but the original rubber cannot, I ended up using custom works street trac tires, but they hit the front bumper and rear carriers. The rear carriers I ground down the clear and I made a extension for the front bumber so it was farther away from the axle.
2) The ds a-arms are weak and hard to find if you break them, I ended up using original rc10 arms on my ds, but I had to do some modifications to those also.
3)The car is too narrow for most of the wide bodies, and I think too wide for the touring car bodies.
Your best bet would be to sell it and get a rc10 b2 or b3... but if you are set on using the ds, let me know if you have any more questions.

i also ran rc10ds as latemodel back in '00. i think the body was parma latemodel for 200mm touring cars. i used custom works wheels w/foams. the old kit tires never worked anyway. i never had a problem w/tires rubbing bumper but had to used wheel adapter in the rear because of hub carrier. the 200mm body fit fine, tires didn't stick out. but mcallister makes one that's 210mm-i think. in '99 i ran the car w/homemade edm body. this was definitly my fav car in '99-'00. it worked on flat tracks & banked. the only reason i quit the car was it got outlawed locally for "being too narrow". i think the locals were just upset i was beating terminators & cw bellyachers! some people at kranzel's got mad at me in '99 on the short track when i took the car there also! it's a shame parts are getting hard to find for the ds, because i'd love to race some 4wd's with it! at the 3 dirt ovals i ran the car i used cobra gold springs & left the sway bars on, i used spring preload, tire compound & sway bar tension to dail the car in. it was the easiest car to drive! other than tires, body, &springs the car was totally stock( i only raced stock motor with it). if you ever plan to sell it, shoot me a pm! if you need any help shoot me a pm. i'd be glad to help. if you race it good luck & have fun, pm or post how you made out!

My RC10ds worked really well as a latemodle and a edm. Its a great car to drive and its hard to beat it. I only get it out when we have a nitro show at our track.

I've got the rc10nds that I've strapped an O.S. CV-R in. I think it's going to be a blast to drive! I need to find a LM body that fits it well though. If anyone has a suggestion, PM me.

Hey Weg's I ran w/ you down @ Brooks. I'm still mad at you for "making" me come down to race that last time, LOL! Let me know when you guy come back down!

i ran my electric ds at mansfield ohio and the only thing ifound was that it was allitle twitchy down the straight aways probably because of being so narrow now on carpet they are just as competitive as the custom works i think

the mcallister hagerstown body works well with stock components and if using say like a rpm rc10 a arm the tulsa body fits well.
