I`m wanting to start mounting my own foams and need some info. Where can I get a tire horn to put the foam on the wheel and what kind of glue should I use to secure the foam to the wheel? Any help would be nice.

Greg...
Kimborough makes the tire horn. In a pinch, I have used the neck from a round bottle...like power steering fluid...just cut off the cone part.

For glue use DAP contact cement in the red can. Brush it on the wheels and in the tires. Put the cone on the wheel, hit it and the tire with a little motor spray and slide them on.

Where do you guys get the unmounted foams at? How much?? Custom Works, John's BSR, and Jerry Flynn's websites only advertise mounted foams.

Get your local hobby shop to order 25, 30 and 35 shore Super G 1/8 scale on road rear donuts. One pair will almost make a full set of foams on CW wheels. They are typically $14.99 a pair. It is a comperable rubber to pink/purple that you pay $25-$30 a pair for mounted.

Calandra racing as well RC4less.com offers foam donuts. I get my hobby shop to order Super G foams for me also. The Super G tire supplier is in Austin Texas, I think. I use contact cement as Jeff suggested. The foam will roll off of the edges of the wheels due to the extreme side bite foams offer. A little CA around the wheel edge and foam helps keep the foam stuck to the wheel.
