For those who didn't see this on another thread:
Jess from revolution raceway here. Not only are we planning on expanding the dirt oval track to its full capacity, We are also open to racer suggestion on what night to race.Saturday and Thursday are and have been committed to other forms of racing. Friday ,Wednesday, and Sunday are open. I hope to start track work very soon. I would like to encourage any racers to let us know when you can make it. This program (indoor dirt oval) is new and in need of a jump start so we are more than willing to work with any interested/committed racers. Thanks, Jess
With that being said..............I am with Ferks and the Dibbs............Friday night is the best for me too. I used to rce Trackside weekly on Fridays..........so it would be cool to only drive 15-minutes to race!!!
So Jess/Bob....................what's the word? I haven't got a phone call to come help the construction/re-construction.............you know the numbers, call little Makus too, he wants too help!!!
Bring on the clay!!!

I think the sprints should be 19T motors............stock is fine, but those of us who know how to tune a stock motor will defintely have a major advantage.
Open mod is not a good idea due to the experience level we currently have.
With 19T you have the best of both worlds.............with speed and power.
So if I read this right...........in open mod you could have a truck, sprint, buggy, dominator, sedan, EDM, and a 2wd wedge all in one race together?

Open mod is our way of saying we have no idea what people will show up with. I know we have some guys planning to run narrow wheelbase cars with IMCA Modified bodies, and probably some dominators as well. Those classes will be figured out as we go.
If someone really wants to run a truck with a 10 turn, they are nuts:skull: , but should be allowed to race.
I also think 19t for sprintcar is the perfect balance of speed and power, especially for us that have D/D cars and can't gear for a hot mod motor.

If you aren't going to run stock, let everyone run the motor they want. I'm not a fan at all of the 19T motors. They can be tweaked enough that you are darn close to open mod lap times, but then they get finicky and need to be reworked like a stocker all the time anyway, and they really arent any cheaper. Its pretty rare that on any dirt oval that you end up being able to bolt in really huge smoke of low single winds anyhow. The majority of my inventory of motors has always been 12-15 turns. We don't need to split the number of racers we will have into a zillion classes then do it a second time by segregating people by motors. My thoughts would be A truck class (stock), a sedan class (stock), a sprint class (mod) and something for the suspension purebred dirt oval cars (be it wedge or edm {mod}) Dont complicate it when trying to draw new racers.

I think that if 3 or more racers with the same setup commit to showing up consistantly, then they should be a class.
Otherwise, go with what you got on any given night. However, I do believe the majority of us reading this post could pretty easily make a vehicle conform to what ever classes HTO offers. I don't mind picking up a 19T to match the class. It's about people with a common intrest coming together and having a good time racing with each other.
But the key to happiness is actually making it to the track to race!http://dirtoval.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif
