Beadle24 As of now we are not planning on offering a longer version. I think if you give one a try you will be pleaesd with it.

I would like to thank everyone that have sent me emails about both chassis. I have gotten a number of very positive responses.

Dave ... as you know we got your terminator chassis in and WOW what a difference it makes on our track. I had one of our better drivers try it out and after a little tweeking it gave him 4 extra laps in a 5 min period not to mention the fact that it is more consistant to drive. Great job... looking forward to receiveing the GBX chassis so I can try it out.

Hey Eric... I can let you know how it works better yet stop in Friday night to see it for yourself!!

Hey smokefan... I can't wait!!! The GBX has been a hand full. I've had so much done to it to finally get it to run and handle its not even a Custom Works car anymore lol!!

Hey Beadle... no problem! We will be starting our winter season sometime in early October, just finishing the schedule now. Hopefully you can make it on Sunday's. We are most likely going to carry the Leading Edge Chassis so let me know if you need one. I am very impressed with the chassis for the terminator and I doubt I will we will be disappointed with the GBX one.

So - What makes these new chassis so much better? Is it flex? Battery Placement? Weight? Size? Geometry?

Hey racer57,
It's Paul Huntington I got the car Saturday. It looks very nice(well done Dave). I had to rebuild the car, but from the looks of it it will be a good car. I would love some hints on the chassis since I never have ran foams, or EDM(use to the rubber tires, and latemodel). Give me a call 765-894-5288 my cell cingular. Daye are the new shock towers available? These Custom works look wrong. Maybe it's my imagination, but the shock placement looks wrong with the stock CW tower.
Thanks;
Paul Huntington

Paul I am going to try and make it to M&M tomorrow, If you get the chance come up and run.

I would like to thank everyone for the positive response that we have received. Both chassis have been performing great at a number of tracks so far.

We are working to expand our dirt oval products, look for a few new items in the upcoming weeks.

We have just finished the DC1 Stealth version, It has the bolt pattern for the older 2.25 Stealth transmissions. It has the same features as our B3 style DC1, but now racers with the older cars can update to the new DC1 chassis. I have a few cut and ready for shipping. You can check it out on the website on the Dirt Oval page.

yeah i think all these cars are one of a kind. It should work though. as long as the tranny mounts are right for the tranny. and for the front end. look at their web site. dave is very good at answering questions. I have one of one of these cars, and I have no complaints. Heck I had like a 12 year old car before that I refused to run anything else.Well this car looks pleasant.

the guy says he can take it out (hasnt run it in a year, bought a custom works or something) and turn 53 laps at Radio Hill Raceway,in dundee,NY.Anyone know what size the TC3 shocks are.my car has been designed to run .71 associated shocks.are tc3 shocks this size or close?

Team GFRP
September 21st, 2005, 2:19 PM
the .71 shocks are associated shock shafts i use them in the rear for extra length so i don't bind the spring up as much and have more adjustment. the front shock i use the normal stock associated shafts i believe they are around .56 but not positive

I have added a couple of new dealers to the dealer page on the website and look for more in the future.

This is the last week for the introductory price on the DC1 and LEX1 chassis.

I would like to thank everyone for the positive responses that we have gotten on the chassis. We are working on adding even more to our Dirt Oval products.

The Leading Edge drivers had a good day of racing at the Indiana Dirt oval State Race. 3 of the 6 cars in the stock EDM A main were DC1's. Mark Corns TQed and won with an unreal track record run of 73 laps. Eugene Ryder qualified 2nd and finished a strong 2nd. Dusty "The Claw" Kemp qualified 3rd and was running in 3rd in what was looking to be a close 1-2-3 finish, when he some how broke the wheel off of his radio sending his car hard into the wall ending his night.

In Mod EDM there were only 2 DC1's entered and both made the A main. Marks Corns qualified 3rd and was running in second closing on the leader when he was caught up in a wreck. After going a lap down, he battled back onto the lead lap with a strong 2nd place finish. With clearly the fastest car on the track. Not bad for getting his DC1's together a day or two before the race. Joel Vanderwal (spel?) also made the Mod A main only to have bad luck in the main.

Great job to the Leading Edge racers.

I also ran the leading edge chassis in mod edm but didn't make the a-main. I am happy with the chassis and turned a few 3.8 second laps with it. I had a good time at the race and will look forward to racing there again. I want to thank mark and matt for putting on a great race at a super fast track. I think the track and my car were faster than my driving ability but I had fun anyway.

I would like to wish good luck to Mark Corns, Joel, Eugene Ryder and all of the guys running Leading Edge chassis at Coopers.

If anyone would like to check out the DC1 or LEX1 chassis stop by Mark's pit. He will be happy to answer any questions.
