Well, after about an eight year search, I finally located my unicorn...a Protoform Vortex L.D. oval wedge thanks to Cfrank40, who has a secret stash of these old school bodies. ;) I just went with a simple black paint scheme and had my friend, who owns a local graphic shop, make me the chrome/flat black/pink numbers and graphics. This body fits my Trinity Reflex 10 like a glove and maybe some day I'll actually race it.

Enjoy: :skull:

I have one in the bag, hanging in my garage, been there over 10 years, if anyone is interested, make an offer.

That body looks great. I wish we ran cars like that around here.(Central NY)
Great job!

Where do you race, living in Punxy?

I also would like to know where you race ? I'd like to see someone start a dirt oval in Western PA. I've played around at Blanket Hill Raceway in Kittanning, PA., but that track is for karts and just a little to big for RC. unless you have a 1/4 scale.

Thanks for the compliments! As for racing in PA, I've been out of the oval scene for several years due to several of our local carpet tracks closing. :( I used to race at The Meadowbrook in Indiana, PA every Sunday and another very small track in Brookeville. I'm getting the itch to race again and I'd love to try dirt oval, but the closest tracks are several hours away. :(

I ran an old school direct drive Intimidator with that same exact body last weekend in Ocala. It is from back in 1994 and it's painted up like the Earnhardt #3 car. several people were amazed that it was a Protoform body. It's not in as good of shape as yours but it's been run a bunch of times before collecting dust for the last 11 years. Now it's been on a track again. Weeeeeeee:rolleyes:
