So, how do you guys typically install your rx pack? Is there a way to make it swapable? Incase I forgot to charge it? Suggestions would be great. This would be in a customworks sprint.

thanks

i'm not real familiar with the layout of your sprint, but i would think if u want to easily swap your RX pack, get some velcro, hold pretty strong, yet you can still easily remove it...

For the GSX ----under the shock tower is a great option ... below is a copy of post from another racer ... and I agree it is a great option.

Brians11 there has been a previous post on this subject. The reciever pack you want for most convenience and mounting is the Trinity #5308. This is a small AAA hump 800mah pack that fits right between the front suspension mounts on either of the new CW nitro kits. It provides plenty of power for a full day of racing without a re-charging. I think you will find this to be the best bet for space saving. It is put on the chassis so that the front shock tower "pinches it inbetween the top two cells of the pack. Keeps it out of the way for ease of maintenance and frees up more space under the hood area for other options you may want to accessorise your car with.
Custom Works has noted that they will be making this configuration of reciever pack available soon to add to your kit purchase. This subject was discussed and pictures are posted on the thread CW GSX set up tips in the gas dirt oval racing forum.

Don't use velcro!!!!!! I tried that on the maiden voyage of my GSX. After about 5 laps of practice and one small incident on the track, the pack came squirting out the back of the car onto the track. After that happened, well, lets just say it wasn't pretty! Mine is now glued in!

Thanks for the responses. I was thinking velcro. However, I was thinking if I put a small platform (strip of aluminum/graphite, some o-rings as spacers) with some standoffs. A little velcro would probably help absorb a little shock, then a strap to secure it. Just need to put a couple more holes in the chassis.

The 800 ma AAA cells is another option, however, I don't have time/desire to spend anymore money on this thing. My recommendation, just buy new, unless you can visually verify the build. Everyone has their own 'preferences' and ideas of what is right/wrong and what has and hasn't worked.
