Here are a few pics of my sprint car and a Late Model body that I've designed. The spinter (a car that I got off of a MWMOTORSPORTS21) has some new skin on it for this week (Paint and Lettering by Ross). It's a 1992 (Going Old School) re-creation of arguably the best sprint car racer in PA and one of the best in the nation, Fred Rahmer. This car was run in the '92 Knoxville Nationals. The real car is the second pic (I guess that's obvious!)

The other car is a CW GSX with my own creation of a Late Model body. Hopefully the LM's will catch on and a bunch of us can create our own class at Bumps and Jumps, what do you say Chris?

I still have my t-shirt from Knoxville that year. And yes it does fit. I wear to make people wonder how old it is every once in a while. Keith

Cool fab job! I too hope that Chris runs a latemodel class. I tried a 2wd terminator (nitro) out there last year & that thing was a blast to drive!!! TTYL, Russ

Andy.....Beautiful job on both cars.....if I make it to Ray's on Friday, I would love to see that late model up close....Mikey and the guys said it was fun to watch that class out at Raceway 42 a few weeks ago....could be a fun class to race around here somewhere !!!

I agree (much as Mega and I discussed in IM's on MSN), one of the most scale appearing LM bodies I've ever seen, very awesome. I think it'd be cool if someone could vacuum-form a more rounded yet undefined nose (sort of like the McAllister and Factory Works noses, non-make specific) for integration into a custom-built design like this. That's probably the hardest part of these cars to get to look right without considerable time and complexity. Most come out looking way too wedgy/creased when fabricated from straight lexan; while the real noses have a more rounded shape to them that's just hard to make on your own. I figure a small $5 lexan nose piece (one that could be trimmed down and narrowed perhaps for different applications) that could be grafted into a body like this would go a long way towards easing quite a bit of that.

Very cool, look forward to seeing it painted. :)

The paint job on this one is going to be nothing to write home about. I'm going to just slap some paint on it and run some practice laps with it. This one will be my "template" for future bodies. What you can't see from the pics are all of the rough edges from snipping here and there to get it to look right. I'll bang out another one in a week or so and have it painted up "professionally". Get ready Ross!
