I need a front engine bearing for an RB concept X12 3 port Non turbo. I looked on Ace hobbies and they only list the rear bearing. Anyone know where i can get one?
THanks,

Call Rick at RB Mods. He might be able to help you. www.rbmods.net.

We get our replacement bearings at our local bearing stores. The quality is better and the price is less than what the engine manufacturers charge. They don't make their own bearings, they buy them from bearing manufacturers just like we do. Cut out the middle man (RB Engines) and buy from the source.

thanks guys, anyone know what the size is? Is it metric or standard? I have a digital caliper but I havnt yet pulled the bearing out. How hot should the crankcase be to pull and insert a bearing?

Throw it in the oven for about 10 mins at 300 deg. Should pop right out.

If you go to a bearing store to get your new bearings, they can measure it accurately. It has to be a perfect fit in the case or you will have additional problems. You need to be careful heating your engine cases. O.S. recommends not heating their cases above 240 degrees. Excessive heat damages the phanelic (sp?) retainers. I recommend pressing the new bearings back into the case in lieu of reheating the cases.

your engine takes a
mr607-rs thb/c3 in the front (7idx19odx6 width mm
mr2111 th9/c3 in the rear (11idx21odx5 width mm
i always replace both at the same time. if the front is bad the rear will also go before long.
my trick is to heat the engine in a toaster oven on broil for about 10 minutes. i put the new bearings in a zip lock and refrigerate for a couple of hours. this helps to keep the new bearings from getting too hot during installation.

There you go, all the information you could ask for. The intimidator is a racing buddy of mine and he knows his stuff. He uses that older than dirt excuse, but let me tell you he is fast and tricky, even at his advanced age.
