Last night was my first rc car race in 12 years. I took my klein with an os .12 tr 3 port and was top qualifier for the night.:p But after the races were done, I noticed that I have a little piece of the bead of the rim is cracked. A fellow racer mentioned that I should shoe goo the outside bead. Is this the best way to protect the sidewalls of a nitro sprint car. I ran very clean races, but it would suck if you have to keep replacing rims and tires because they break before they wear out. Any suggestions would be appreciated.:)

I run a bead of sho-goo on my rims as you say, all you have to do is put some laquer thinner on your finger and it will smooth the sho-goo to a nice smooth finish.
