I have seen discussion of converting nitro touring cars to late model dirt oval. I have two HPI Nitro Racer 2. Is it worth the effort and if not what are the alternatives for late model class?
Presently, I don't have anywhere near to run, but have decided to bite the bullet and start making trips to Dallas and Mobile. I am also starting a sprint car conversion. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks!

for the nitro tc latemodel .... take the droop screws out of the a-arms and unscrew your shock ends one turn to get some decent ground clearance. Soften up the shock set up to like 30-40wt w/ middle HPI piston and start with a 15-20lb springs or something that mates well with the 30-40wt oil. Then choose a 200-215mm wide latemodel body. I'm not that familiar with your HPI car but the idea is to have a softer setup and more ground clearance for dirt.

Hey Circletrack999....you don't have to make those far trips to Dallas or Mobile...We have two dirt ovals here in the Baton Rouge area....One in Denham Springs and one in the Springfield area. The Denahm Springs track mostly runs 1/8th scale cars and the Springfield track mostly runs 1/10th scale trucks. Let me know if you are interested and I will get you in touch with those tracks.
