I used to, but I got out of it. They just don't race enough for me. It was only about 8-10 times a year. They were a blast to drive though.

There are 7-10 of us that race the 1/4 scale sprints at Naugle Speedway. It is located just North of the Pittsburgh Airport. We have a schedule that runs about every 2 weeks. The track is used for karts, so the sprints look pretty scale on it. Kinda reminds you of a scale Eldora Speedway.

Here is the website--------www.NaugleSpeedway.com and hopefully the pics aren't too big to post here.

Are next race is July 30th, that is a Saturday and we start at 4:00

now thats ausome..wish there was a track like that around here that could run those. although if u look in my profile pic there is a picture of a 1/2 scale north east dirt modified that runs on a briggs and stratton 7 hp lawn mower engine. i bet a bunch of those would look cool on that track.

I have that pic saved on my computer. Pretty SWEET! You could run those on this track, bout the same size as the karts.

We have a couple of guys that drive down for the races from up your way. Takes them 9 hours, but I beleive they come every race. Even have a fellow and his son drive from out around Chicago. Talk about loving your sport!

Give this iste a look............www.dwlmotorsportsinc.com They may be up your way. Cool web site antway!

Any pics of the 1/2 scale without the body panels?

the guy that built them is from the upstate ny area and there based on alot of go cart stuff. he said u could get a rolling chassis, radio and everything to get started(turn key) for somewheres between 35-4500 bucks. he was workin on buildin a sprint car but i never saw that.

i have a few other pics but not with the panels off the car

The sprints are either WCM, Pro 1, or custom built. The custom built cars have torsion bar suspension just like the full size sprints. Each brand seems to work well. They all run solid rear axles and straight front axles, so there are no diffs or independent front suspensions. They can get out of shape pretty fast, but will keep you on your toes.

Iam having ablast running my wcm 1/4.We're in the process of marking a modified body for it.I can't help believing that this is how rc is supose to be--- they're smooth-not twitchy.Granted they aren't as fast as 1/10 but 30-45 min on a tank of fuel. I like that.O2 designs-dad

Yeah, I'm kinda missing mine right now. But I'll have a sweet sprint car to drive shortly. You shoud check out the Royal Oak Grand National. Its usually the same weekend as the Michigan race in August. Its held up in Detroit during the Woodward Dream Cruise. Its one heck of an event. Tons of classic cars cruising up & down Woodward Ave. all day, car manufacturer displays, & one of the biggest 1/4 races of the year! $50 to enter, & you get a check for $200 when you get there, plus sponsors bid on you & you use a body that they have painted & sponsored. Its a neat deal. Check it out under the great lakes quarter scale website. Its worth the time...JAMMIN

Haven't ever been to Royal Oak but one of my best friends won the race last year. As we know him in Minnesota, " the fastest man alive" Scott Schramske. Keith

Yeah, scott basically ran with the show last year. His cohort Roger Newell is fast as well. I finished 6th in the A. Its tough, & you definetly need luck on your side. JAMMIN

Does anyone have an url to somebody who produces torsion bar frames for 1/4 scale?

I have a WCM sprint chassis with a EDM body set over the top using the sprint nose piece. The car has not run in 3 or 4 years and has both servos and a 4 channel am receiver in it. We use to have 4 or 5 cars here in the Rochester, NY area and it never seemed to take off. One of the drivers even layed out $5000 for a asphalt track with pit road and elevated drivers stand. Any offers over $500.00 the car could be yours. e-mail modstockraceway@aol.com The car went for $1700.00 new in a rolling chassis. This car in a solid axle front and rear with torsion bars and shocks. could be made with coil overs if wanted.

I am looking for any pic that you guys might have that shows the battery to reciever hookups for a Raco 1/4 scale. If I see the pics, I can figure it out from there. Just wondering about wire harnesses also, and if you use them. I would also like a pic of the back brake system, thru the tower that holds the bottom on.

Thanks

Richard

Richard- The wiring on my Two WCMs looks like our 1/10 scale nitro stuff except for the "y" harness for the steering ,2 servos, and the size of battery cells.o2 designs-Dad-Bob
