Nitro Tour Race this past sunday a pair of frogs wondered onto the pit lane during to b-main.

With little to tell you can imagine what happen. One of the frogs made the racing surface and became a speed bump. First time I came across something like that.

Just wondering if anyone else had seen something like this.

P.S. Why Jeese Why did you have to hit that poor frog????? LOL LOL LOL

Interesting thing about it, one of the kids tried to pick up the toad and he hopped away, none the worse for it.

A story with a hoppy ending....

Im sorry I just had to... :)

A track we practice at had a few kittens that would chase cars and run out in front of them. They got hit, but luckily not hurt, a few times and they learned to just watch.

It's not R/C,but I did see a 1:1 car traction roll at an autocross once.It was a bone stock 1st generation Civic. It went up on two wheels right to the "point of no return"and hung there for a second and then fell back on it's wheels.I never thought it was possible to do that without hitting a curb or something but it was on smooth level ground.

The funniest thing to happen to me while racing...well years later now its funny.

I was leading a race and every time I would lap this one guy the very next corner he would bonzai me and take me out the very next corner, This happened about five times before the last hit was terminal. The best part is that after the race the guy comes up to me wanting to know how I did not win since I had the fastest car...He had no memory of hitting me. I just smiled and walked away.

He must race in my area now :D :) I know a lot of drivers that are like that - completely clueless when it comes to "why" the fastest driver on the track can't finish

King Speedway NC 1998 Saturday evening practice under the lights.

frog decided to cross the track i never saw it back stretch was to far away. i was the only car on the back stretch at the time all i heard was a big bang, and my car came to a dead stop, from probably 50- 55 mph. Kirby Hand ran and got my car for me and removed the dead frog from the track.

after fixing the damage on the car, Kirby proceded to draw a frog and cross bones on the hood of the car and named it frog killer. it was like that the rest of the weekend.

oh the good times a King

Back in the carpet pan car days of the middle 90's proved to be funny at a track in Lafaayette, Indiana. There was about 5 or 6 of us just having a good ol time in one of the races and there was some talking and laughter on the stand when I realized what it was, the tape to hold one of the sections got tore off by a car thus revealing the 2 sections and one by one, cars disappeard under the carpet because it was so fast paced. The car that got the tape looked like Bufurd T. Justice on Smokey and the Bandit, coming out of the truck stop with the toilet paper stuck to the back of him looking like some 3 foot banner following him...ah, the good ol days! :)

I have seen a car leave the track at the Veledrome in Indianapolis back in that day too.

MMS last year during a Friday night practice... Mike Hohman (the locals all know him) and I were racing his 1/8 buggy vs. my XXX-T.. We got together, his buggy went airborne and nailed me right in the nuts... So I limp back to the pits, put my stuff up and go sit with the peanut gallery that all got a good laugh out of it. Less than 5 minutes later, Mikey brings his all aluminum, 15lber XXX-NT out for some laps.. About 10 laps into it, he manages to get himself airborne in the same spot and nails himself in the nuts.. Funniest thing I'd see in a long time, and it ain't been topped yet.. To this day, I cringe everytime he goes by me on the track..

The day the track owners had me take my 1:1 truck out on the new BIG track to turn some laps was pretty crazy though.. and VERY fun!

This is some funny stuff. Craig and myself always talk about is when we were at RT42 raceway and Mr Dynotech had, to say the least a terrible weekend. I really dont know what was more painful to watch, his not wanting to run foam tires or watching the rain break his tent than close after that his picnic bench broke . it was a good time....for us.

my weirdest rc moment was back in the late 80s (the rc10 days). i was following my brother down the back stretch when all of a sudden smoke began billowing out of the back of his dirt modified. it really gave me a sense of realism. eventually a fire erupted. i was priceless watching him in the infield trying to get his body off and pat out the flames.

Earl why would you say that just because I use the walls to get around doesn't mean I hit everything in sight LOL

I was at one of the ordinary friday night club races, and the 4wd mods were on the track. There was this real fast guy, i think new to the track, and hes got a pretty fast lead in the main. Hits the triple, lands it, and the motor falls right out the motor vent hole in the chassis.

I have also seen pictures of a turtle under a backstrech at a recent losi race.

Back in 99 when i first got started racing dirtoval i learned a very valuble lesson. the story goes like this, we were running a 200 lapper at T.N.T raceway in Great Bend P.A. when i got the bright idea to put a fully charged batterypack in my pocket. stupid me, forgot i had my car keys in this very same pocket. well lets just say the anouncer and everybody else stopped what they where doing to whatch me do the magic fire dance on the drivers stand. the battery had caught fire, my keys and it fell though the hole in my pocket. HOWS THAT FOR WIERD!?
