when is to small for a foam tire and what will it make the car do ?

normally the smaller the foam tire gets the harder it seems to get. less room for compression. as for when is it to small that depends on your track, track surface, ride height. depending on the conditions and the track small is never to small. just need to ajust your roll out accordingly.

george..number 1..i saw your tires on monday and if it were me i would invest in another set. when the get that small u lose all the sidebite with them and its like running bricks with no bite. maybe on a real high bite track u might get away with them but for walts break down and buy another set.

I run a set I call my "midgets".. It's a red Losi truck rim with an O.D. of 2.5".. The rim itself has an O.D. of 2.2", so that leaves .3" of actual foam. Divide that by 2, and I've got .15" of foam between the rim and the clay. I TQ'd with those tires 3-5 times last year. So no, there is no such thing as too small. The drawback is that they're harder to setup the truck for because, as stated, you've got less foam to absorb the bumps so you've gotta let the shocks take care of it. Lighter oil, softer springs, raise the ride height a bit.

yea as sson as the pocket gets a bit fuller. i think the new tire aditave is making them wear a bit fast ??

Geo, compared to the tires im running, you could probably run yours for a couple years and they would still be better than mine... :)

yea, im having the tech guy take a look at yours, i think you have an unfair advantage with the extra side bite you have with the rim.

LOL, Did you get some pics of the mini mod yet, I want to see how the decals look on it.

Solly, Do you know how big the wheel dots need to be, They should be the same size as the wheels on my car right? I'll drop them off on my way to fulton on Monday.

yea i finished the mini edm but i messed up the wheel well on one side pretty bad. between the color scheme i used and the decals it looks awsome. i think it will be the same paint i use for the winter car.i will send ya some pics and also put on the 18t post i started.
