Our dirt oval racing group has decided on an open motor rule. What's a good 15-turn motor to run in my B4 EDM? The track we will be running on is a tri-oval with a 50' straight.

I'd like to find something that's rather low-maintenance. I can't be cutting the comm and changing brushes every race.

the new truespeed line of motors from custom works would be a good choice. they are hand wound V2 based motors with the round brushes that contact the arm on a angle. these motors require much less maintenance and can easily go 10 races without cutting.

But if you want a really cheap 15t, reedy is marketing a non-rebuildable one for 16.99

Well, I finally decided on the Novak Super Sport Plus with 5800 brushless motor. None of the LHS in our area have a comm lathe or provide the service. The closest shop that does is a 100 mile round trip, so it just made for sense for me to go brushless. Thanks for your input everyone.
