I can't believe for a dirt oval forum that nobody said Coopers. LOL. Coopers makes some pretty nice foams for trucks.

I don't know who they get their foam from now but back in the day Coopers and Jaco bought their foam together so it was like buying Jaco's but cheaper. There site is http://www.coopersrc.com/

They have all the usual compounds. For those of you who don't know (although you probably do), Coopers is where they have the CW race every year.

The Custom Works US Open Wheel Championship (some people know it as the Tony Stewart race because he goes to it every year). We covered the race the last two years in the April issues ('04 and '05).

I make truck tires and sell them for $45/set + shipping.. I can use any wheels you want, as long as it fits a Losi or AE. I also make touring car tires for $40/set+shipping.. Any of my tires can also be silicone coated for an additional $10.. Tires are all done on a custom basis, so whatever cut, O.D., wheel or grooving is your choice.

You can get more exotic compounds for truck foams, but it costs a LOT. For a touring car foam donut, the cost to go from green foam to something like purple or silver is about 6x as much. It's insane. Trucks are even more due to the size of the dounts.

In truck sizes, Exotics (pink/purple etc) are about $10-$14 more per pair........and are WELL worth it. They last longer, and don't chunk as easily. In the long run, they are cheaper.

Easiest way to get exotics is to buy on road foam, and mount your own wheels. On road donuts are around $14pr.

Dlan, where are you buying your truck foam? That's a better price than I'm getting wholesale lol

And no, on-road foams won't work cuz the O.D. is too short for most people. I personally run some pretty small tires, so it would work for me. But most people want 3"+ and a skinny little on-road donut ain't gonna get ya there.

oh, and we run silicone up here, so chunking is virtually unheard of nowadays.

dlan is talking 1/8 scale onroad rear foam donuts overall diameter when putting them on a 2.2 wheel is over 3". the last set of donuts like this i bought were $16.99, but that was regular price, they can be found cheaper else where. the widht of the donuts are around 3"

I ran trucks for many years, and ran green Jacos on it for the first 3. After that I tried TRC blues and just hated them, and then I was lucky enough to have been able to get some purple donuts made custom for me. Those things were so incredibly fast compared to the greens. I'd never run anything else after running them. I also agree with Dlan in that they very rarely chunk, and they lasted a LOT longer than the greens. I'd run one pack through a set of greens before truing them again, and the purples would last a whole race night plus practice the next week without a noticeable drop in performance.

I know Cooper's has had purples mounted on wheels for trucks in the past, but I think they're in pretty high demand, so you should try and get them soon because once it gets cold and the season starts in earnest throughout the country, you're gonna have some trouble finding what you need.

Good Luck!!
