been awhlie since i read 20 amp discharge numbers. i got a reed quasar pro and the highest it discharges at is 20. was wondering if someone could give me some idea what good run time and average voltage would be for a pack at 20 amps. thanks.

Depends on the cells...3300's, 3600's or 3800's. Good numbers for 3300's are 490 sec, 1.23volts with 18 res. 3600's aren't far behind. 3800's I've seen 500+ sec, 1.28volts @ 20 amps.

Geo, the best thing you could do is let me discharge your packs on my T35

let me ask this. to do the math to get the run time do i divide 60 into the discharge mah number ?
thanks guys.
oh sorry they are 3300's

George,I was just cycling some 3300 4-cells I had sitting for a while,I usually do them at 30,but I did one at 20 to check..The pack isn't a really good one,373sec.,4.59 volts at 30 amps,it went 538sec.,4.68 volts at 20 amps.

odd, im not getting those numbers out of a two new packs. i wonder if its because i put them on a tray after discharging ?highest i got out of new packs (used about a month) is 459 at 1.20 volts. this is on a reedy quasar pro (updated version).
thanks everyone for the help.

Discharge before storing, but dont tray them. Only tray them before charging and you should notice a difference.

Hi Bill!!! George,it might just be because the machines are different.[that's why Comp. Electronics is the industry standard..!!] Numbers between different calibrations could be drastically different. If a machine is off only an amp at 20 amps,it will read off by 50 seconds at 500 seconds.I think some of the other machines are just intended to"get the job done"..they're more just to help you keep track of YOUR battery performance, but aren't really accurate to other machines.Even with "pro" matchers,Lavco machines are different than Comp. Electronics numbers.Does yours have separate wires for voltage probes? If you run a T-35 without them,it makes a HUGE difference, even wire length matters.

yea it has two extra wires attached to the positive and the negative.
basicaly im just getting my packs in order. i knwo they wont be the same as the turbo thirty five , but i didnt think it would be a big difference.
thanks again for everyones help.
