I have a RC10GT with the orginal Thunder Tiger engine. It is plenty fast for the track I run on. What I want is a better head for it. I can not seem to get it to run very cool. It will not get under 260. Who make a good .15 head? Like I said it is fast is enough, only not running as cool as I would like.:skull:

These heads are the same size as the orignal one. How do they do a better job of cooling?:skull:

Here is the stock AE .15 head:

It has only 7 fins. The Factory Team ones I linked you to have 9. That equates to almost 30% more cooling area which should easily drop your running temps into the acceptable range.

Don't go with the overkill head like lots of racers do. I've saw instances where the head is so large that the motor can't be tuned to optimum temp (due to the large diameter & cooling fins) Bigger isnt always better! I run the head on my AE .15 that was linked to you & it works great. JMHO

You guys are missing the main difference between the heads. The stock head is cast aluminum while the FT Heads are machined. Machined aluminum dissipates heat much better than cast aluminum, and the extra two fins will reduce surface area. The FT heads were made for associated by Odonnell.

My suggestion:

Throw out the Thunder Tiger motor and find a new OS .12CVR. Most shops sell them for $59 to $99. More horsepower, better cooling head, and the best carburetor on the planet.

Thanks for all the info guys. I ended up with a International Nitro head. It droped the temp. to around 225. And it had a deeper button. It was .0015 deeper, it raised the compression a little bit. Now the bitch really screams off the corner. I had to change the setup to compensate for the extra punch.:skull:
