Hi All,
I had a friend ask me this and I don't have an answer so I'll ask all of you.
In this picture there is a hole on the wing above the motor, do they use a certain long neck glow ignitor for this instead of a remote glow cap? I had the problem on my Klein with the remote head lock not giving a good conection and this would have been a perfect solution.

Any part numbers or websites would help.

Thanks,
xxx2fast4u

My guess is that it is a hole for an igniter or a transponder, if he doesn't have a personal transponder.

I have a Klein & the hole is in the same spot. Ofna makes a long reach ignitor as I had the same problem (std ignitor too short) I will post the part # later tonight.

We just use a Sullivan ignitor lead and solder it to the battery. When using it we just slip it into the head between the wing mount and the engine head and voila. No issues.. and no holes in the wing either.

The igniter that Axis describes works very well on our OFF sprint cars. The only problem that I have ever encountered is having it lock onto the glow plug. This usually occurs just before a big race when you need to get out onto the track. It is a simple matter of pushing down and turning to get it to release, but it gets your panties in a wad ever time it happens. Another neat thing is the fact that you can make the lead as long or as short as you like. I hope it still works on my Bulletproof when I get it ready to race.

Glow inginter hole to me. The transponder is mounted on the right side side bars on lexan. (Left of you screen)

The hole is a igniter hole. It is alot easier to stick a igniter in the hole than messing with the remote stuff. The car is the new Twister car from Klein R/C Motorsports. The car is based off of Losi parts and it is awesome. It will be available sometime in July.

Tim.

Thanks everyone for the answers. Does anyone have the Ofna part #? Yeah that sprint looks just plain sweet. I love the inboard shocks.

Thanks,

here are some of the choices....

remote starter only works when it's new. as it gets old, or even after a couple of glow plug changes (where you have to remove the remote igniter attached to the glow plug), the remote igniter gets loose and next thing you know it doesn't work anymore.

hope this helps...

oh yeah, and that klein twister car is very well engineered, looks really good, and very fast.

Does anyone have the inside dirt on this Losi sprint car conversion? Is it based on the XXX-NT truck or is it a buggy conversion? It looks good.

The Klein Twister is buggy based and uses losi touring car shocks.
If you are around Newville this weekend it will be racing with Chris Cramer at the wheel.
He qualified 2nd and was leading the a main last week at Newville when he got clipped by laped traffic.Better luck this week.
