Just finished some updates on the web site for the B-4 T-4 Shock Towers, also put some new Pictures and up dated info on our two Late model bodies on the site. The Oval Car parts page is now up, seeing that we now have some parts for cars now.

THOUGHT I'LD SHARE SOME TIRE SHERDDING WITH YOU
This is me and my '67 ekly at a burn out contest in 1996, tires are at about 85 mph here, total time spinning was 5min 23sec before smoke became sparks! :o  :D

Car has since been sold.:( :( :( :(

The wagon was our family car in 1990 and is now undergoing another remake for Dad.:p :p

Yah Yah I know this is an R/C forum - But you have to get to the track in something!

Nothin like seeing a Chevy roasting tires! I can relate selling old cars that I wish I woulda kept. The wagon looks cool, be a great car to take to the track with all that room in the back.

Hopefully I can get my Rocket late model body finished this week to race with. Might just have to send them to Scott with those cool colors.

Beautiful work as always Daryl-thanks!

And two big thumbs up on the wagon-I have an '80 Malibu wagon with a 406" in it but I would trade it in a heartbeat for a '65.

Thanks DrOlds - the wagon is fun to drive, but my elky ran 13.75 in street dress, I hope to get the wagon into the 13's also now with the current rebuild going on. I like getting pushed back into the seat!!!!:D :D :D

Right now the wagon is set up for cornering with big sway bars, gas shocks, heavy springs, front disk brakes, 72 camaro front spindles w/Global West upper "A" arms and lowered 2" all around.

OH yah; The XXX buggy towers are ready for shipping today. This is an R/C site. LOL

Daryl,

hopefully this isn't a dum question, but as far as the angle of the tie-rods and stearing links that you have pictured above with you set-ups....are they like that to avoid bump steer or to intentionaly change the roll centers..or both? Are you trying to increase the roll to get grip in the corners? I am by no means a chassis expert so that's why I ask. I wonder if you can give a bit of an explination about your settings. You work looks great btw.

Hi travymoto

The intention is two fold, to lower the static roll centers and increase the rate at which the chamber changes with suspension travel. Do the limited travel in oval I like to work on the roll centers, and chamber changes. Both are verily adjustable in the front and back of the cars, one key is to try and keep the roll center of the front lower then that of the rear.

Rear traction can be added by raising the ride height, or lowering the rear static roll center. Weight transfer is the key to side bite and forward bite, but I like to do it while keeping the chassis with-in a limited range of movement.

Hope this helps some, feel free to ask more, and always happen to share what I know.

:D
